"My Scandinavian designs began with my mother's persistent encouragement for me to learn Norwegian rosemaling and both parents ardent commissioning of Scandinavian designs painted on gifts for family and friends. My ancestral homelands are Blekinge, Dalsland, Skåne and Vårmland in Sweden; Telemark and the Hardanger fjords in Norway. My designs harmonize my heritage of Scandinavian folk art with numerous influences from ancient to present day."
With a degree in Fine Arts, Susan has held various teaching and administrative positions.
